A Store That Thieves Couldn't Stop Targeting: What Does Feng Shui See?

A Korean couple visiting Osaka, Japan, turned a drugstore run into a repeated theft operation — hitting the same location seven times before finally getting caught on their eighth attempt.
According to The Asahi Shimbun, 25-year-old Cho Ki-beom and 29-year-old Lee Hye-yeon arrived in Japan on August 8 and began targeting a Don Quijote branch in the Dotonbori district. By the time they were done, the pair had stolen 52 cans of digestive medicine with a combined value of approximately 120,000 yen (around USD $1,080).
On their eighth visit, a store employee spotted Lee on security footage placing merchandise into her bag. Staff gave chase — but the couple escaped. Then, in a move that baffled investigators, they walked straight back into the same store and were arrested on the spot.
Both admitted after their arrest to reselling Japanese pharmaceutical and cosmetic products in South Korea. A search of their hotel room turned up 1,134 items worth a total of 1.52 million yen (roughly USD $13,700). Records show the couple had entered Japan 20 times since September 2017, each stay lasting just one to three days.
